Guided tour of the mine every day
Adults 190 SEK (from 16 years).
Children 70 SEK (3-15 years). Min. 3 years in the mine.
 
Private guided tour from 1800 SEK (1 hour) Max 10 persons then + 190 SEK pp.
The price is included admission to the museum and exhibitions May 1 - September 30.

Recommended time to spend at the Falun Mine area; 4 hours in the summer season and 2-3 hours in the winter season.
A guided tour in the mine 1,5 hour.

 

To do over ground at Falun Mine
You can see and learn a lot while spending time at the mine area. Start with the Visitors Center, World Heritage House exhibition and films in English. Computor game of the Coppermine in English and German, explore the Mining Museum, information and film in English. Take a mine walk around the Great Pit (1,5 km) signs in English, stop for lunch or café and shopping. Opening hours varies during season, the area is open daily all year around.
 
Events
Yearly events at the Falun Mine; Konstnatten; Falun Art Week in januari, programs for children at Swedish school winter holidays, Scandinavian Valborg celebration at April 30, celebration of the Eagle Owls that live in the Great Pit, June 6th and nostalgic motorsport meetings in the summer, the large Christmas Faire with quality food and handcraft  in the beginning of December. Special programs for children during Swedish school winter holidays.

 

Guided tours and cloathing
The temperature in the mine is +5 degrees Celsius all year round. We recommend warm clothes and good shoes or rubber boots.

 

Languages
Guided 1 hour tours in the mine daily in English, Swedish and German (in the summer). Ask for other languages. Please contact the reception for more information.

Falun Mine closed April 1, June 25, Dec 24th-25th and Dec 31t-Jan 1th.
